Revelation: Seeing Jesus Clearly A Summer Bible Study for Teens
The Book of Revelation is one of the most misunderstood books in the Bible. Many think it is mainly about predicting the end of the world or decoding future events. In reality, Revelation is a revealing of Jesus Christ and a powerful reminder that God is still on the throne, Jesus is victorious, and faithfulness to him leads to ultimate hope.
Written by the Apostle John during a time of persecution, Revelation speaks to real questions young people face today—identity, courage, truth, suffering, temptation, and hope. It challenges us to choose Christ when his way conflicts with the world's and assures us that our story ends not in fear, but in God's victory and the promise of a new creation.
Where & When Tuesdays • 6:00–7:00 PM Good Shepherd Center
June 23 - The Glorified Christ (Revelation 1) John's dramatic vision of the risen Jesus reveals Christ as Lord of history and King of kings. We begin by discovering who Jesus truly is and why Revelation starts with him.
June 30 - Letters to the Seven Churches (Revelation 2–3) Jesus speaks directly to seven churches, encouraging, correcting, and challenging them. What do these ancient letters reveal about our own faith, priorities, and spiritual struggles today?
July 7 - The Throne and the Lamb (Revelation 4–5) John is given a glimpse of heavenly worship where God reigns from his throne and the Lamb who was slain is declared worthy of all praise. These chapters reveal who is truly in control and why Christians can live with confidence and hope.
July 14 - The Seals and the People of God (Revelation 6–7) The opening of the seals reveals conflict, suffering, and trials in a fallen world. Yet amid the chaos, God marks his people as his own and promises ultimate victory to those who remain faithful.
July 21 - Trumpets, Warnings, and Witnesses (Revelation 8–11) The trumpet judgments serve as warnings that call people to repentance. We also meet God's witnesses, who courageously proclaim the truth even in difficult times.
August 11 - The Cosmic Battle (Revelation 12–14) Behind the visible struggles of history lies a deeper spiritual battle. We encounter the Woman, the Dragon, and the Beast, and discover what Revelation teaches about spiritual warfare, temptation, and remaining faithful to Christ.
August 18 - The Fall of Babylon & the Victory of Christ (Revelation 15–19) The powers that oppose God are finally judged, and Christ is revealed as the victorious King. We explore the meaning of Babylon and how Christians are called to live differently from the surrounding culture.
August 25 - A New Heaven and a New Earth (Revelation 20–22) The study concludes with one of the most beautiful visions in all of Scripture: the defeat of evil, the renewal of creation, and God's eternal dwelling with his people. Revelation ends not with fear, but with hope.
Can't Make Every Week? No Problem. Summer is busy! Vacations, camps, sports, and family plans are all part of the season. While we encourage everyone to attend as many sessions as possible, each week's study is designed to stand on its own. You'll be able to jump in, participate, and benefit from any session—even if you've missed previous weeks. Whether you join us for one session, several sessions, or the entire series, you're welcome.
