Our Eucharistic Sacrifice of Jesus Christ to God the Father is the ultimate prayer for Catholics. Our faith formation begins at the table of Our Lord at every Mass. As important as devotions and study are to our formation as Catholic Christians, they are no substitute for regular attendance at Sunday Mass. CLICK HEREfor insights into participation at Mass
The Importance of Adult Faith Formation
"Adult faith formation must be situated not at the periphery of the Church's educational mission, but at its center." USCCB OHWB #42
Three major goals guide and direct efforts in adult faith formation:
1. Invite and Enable Ongoing Conversion to Jesus in Holiness of Life.
2. Promote and Support Active Membership in the Christian Community.
3. Call and Prepare Adults to Act as Disciples in Mission to the World.
We are blessed to have Denise and Bob Vose facilitate Meeting Christ in Prayer, an eight-week session modeled on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. This model of prayer helps participants to encounter Jesus Christ in a new way, to develop a deeper relationship with him, and to renew their participation in his risen life.
